SCOVIA’S LEG Many of you heard that when we were in Uganda, we met a nine-year-old girl named Scovia and her mother in a rural village. Scovia broke her leg two years ago, and her tibia has been sticking out of her skin since then. She’s in terrible pain and her life is in danger. Her family has not been able to pay for the transportation to Kampala, let alone the medical treatment. We found a doctor that will see her for nominal fees and will refer her to a missionary surgeon. Our team took up a $70 offering from personal money while we were in Uganda, but it wasn’t enough to take care of all her needs (transportation, housing, meals, and doctor’s visit). I found out about Scovia’s additional needs an hour before I was to minister at a youth rally in Brockport, NY, last Friday night. I approached the leaders and asked if we could take up an offering for Scovia, and they agreed. The youth responded with a whole heart and gave $378 for Scovia!  This will meet a lot of her needs, and hopefully get her on course to surgery and recovery. Keep this dear child in prayer.

UGANDA WATER PROJECT 5K We are excited to announce that next April 24, 2010, we’ll be hosting our first Ugandan Water Project 5K in Rochester, NY! If you’ve ever dreamed of running in a 5K, now’s the time to start training! More info will be available soon on www.isaiahsix.com. There have been many fees in setting up the race and our early funds are depleted. Right now we need $355 to officially sanction the race. This will get us one step closer to making this race a great success and blessing the nation of Uganda. We’re trusting the Lord to speak to his people to help fund this worthy cause. Perhaps you can give an offering today? Make a tax-deductible donation online at www.isaiahsix.com or send an offering to: Isaiah Six Ministries, P.O. Box 10A, Lima, NY 14414

NEW BOOK I’m stoked to let you know that my new book, Discipleship By Grace, will be available by November! This is the most DBGcover.jpgimportant and powerful book I’ve ever written, as it’s a trumpet call to all believer to return to the gospel of God’s grace. I share my story in the book about walking through the wilderness, and then teach the truths of grace that transform the believer by the power of the Holy Spirit. I believe this book will change thousands of lives. Keep your eyes peeled…it will be available soon on www.isaiahsix.com!

Much grace,

Derek Joseph Levendusky

    Derek,

I saw you perform at Calvary Chapel of Hudson Valley, NY recently, and I must say that you have caused me to rethink my walk with the Lord. I love Him, and I serve Him, but not nearly as well as I should. God bless you, your family, and the rest of Isaiah Six. You are doing a tremendous work. I am adding your ministry, and Scovia’s leg to my prayer list.

Be well, my brother. Thank you.
